Privacy

The short version: I collect as little as possible.

If you subscribe

I store your email address, the topics you picked, and how often you want to hear from me. That is it. No name, no company, no tracking pixels in the emails.

I never sell or share your email address, and I do not send you anyone else's marketing. Subscribing uses double opt-in, so you have to confirm before anything is sent.

Getting out

Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works in one click. You can also change your topics at any time using the manage link in any digest. If you want your record deleted outright rather than just marked unsubscribed, email me and I will remove it.

Analytics

I use a self-hosted Umami instance to count page views and see which articles get read. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not collect anything that identifies you personally. There is no Google Analytics, no ad network, and no third-party tracker on this site.

Links out

Once you click through to another company's site, their privacy policy applies, not mine. Some of those links are affiliate links, which is explained on the disclosure page.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, I will say so in the newsletter rather than quietly editing the page.
